The exhibited works are laminated standard letter-sized pages. They are both interactive - the reader works the images by overlaying and unfolding the 10 or 25 pages.
Down Under can be read as codex or stood as star.
Pamela Zwehl-Burke studied art in Germany and the United States. She did both Staatsexamen, to teach in German secondary school and university - at Kassel and at Goettingen. She finished BFA, MA, and MFA at California State University, Northridge, and the University of Southern California. She has exhibited regionally, nationally and internationally, in group and solo shows around drawn, painting, assemblage, printmaking and artists’ books. Zwehl-Burke lives and works in the Santa Ynez Valley in California.
