A dream or perhaps a fantasy about waking with a snake under a starlit desert sky, this book describes a titillating experience in the southwest canyon country. Based on a short story by Colorado author Carolyn Hull.
A slotted zig zag book with color monoprint images on Rives lightweight buff and laser transfer text. Page backs are hand painted and stenciled. The covers are snakeskin overlaid with hand-tinted sharkskin paper. Housed in a custom box with leather spine, with hand painted cloth covers and a hand painted, recessed label on the front cover.

About the artist:
Alicia Bailey is a studio artist working across multiple disciplines. She has focused on book arts and assemblage since the mid-nineties, producing artists’ books, sculptural books and limited edition books. Alicia’s work embraces a wide variety of methods and materials. It has been featured in dozens of solo and group exhibits throughout the world and is held in numerous public, private and special collections. An archive of her work in the book arts is under development at Penrose Special Collections, University of Denver, Denver, Colorado.
