About this piece:
The wonder of a rural childhood tangles with the realities of an industrialized economy. Letterpress-printing methods include type-high eggshell, pressure print, two- and three-tone posterization, split fountain, and hand-set type.
Endless Ceaseless is drawn from my rural childhood in the Ohio River Valley and the subsequent destruction of my family’s home to coal mining operations in the area. However, the real tragedy is the extreme environmental degradation. The exploitation of the wild as a natural resource has created complete economic dependence, regionally and globally, in a situation similar to a feedback loop.
