Rosette Illusion-1 is inspired from a distinctive geometric pattern, inverting perception to the negative space and its relation with calligraphy. The book shows how the patterns can be rearranged and their relation to the calligraphy on the covers and the edges. I like to use materials with historical significance to the history of the book, for example wooden boards, leather, and linen.
Laser engraved edges, embossed leather covers, modified Ethiopian and Coptic binding
