Description

About this piece:

After acquiring this interesting braille paper I decided to print words in letterpress describing the sensories-the seeing feeling thinking and listening and hearing of it. The black Arches Paper has been soaked and imprinted with the texture of rice through a press and then polished against a marble work table. As a young girl, my legally blind grandmother would have me escort her through one of the museums in NYC, plant herself in front of a painting and ask me to describe this painting or sculpture to her in great detail. These events led me to lead my own groups into the museums and galleries in NYC for over 30 years.

Materials:

paper, ink
