Song of the Open Road has long been one of artist Jan Dove’s favorite books. She finds finds its connection to the journey of the soul through life as compelling as the connection to to her love of physical traveling.
The images in Jan’s book come from linoleum prints she made at a time when she had a California Arts Council grant to work in prisons as an artist, a time of many life paths for her.
The one-of-a-kind original is now in the Special Collections of the University of Washington, Seattle.
