About this piece:
Land Forms and Air Currents is Carol Barton’s most ambitious work to date. The accordion book travels across time and space, through beautiful layered landscapes accompanied by spare, image-filled poems. Stretching over 250 inches in length when fully opened, the accordion book incorporates scanned images of Barton’s original watercolors with floating pop-up additions. The limited edition of twenty-five copies is the culmination of 3 years of work. The book is bound in a cloth-covered case with debossed cover embellishments.
