About this piece:
Like a resurrectionist, or body snatcher, I’ve acquired a stack of books from the Frankenstein corpus. Using a procedure, I stitch together lines from each book, starting with the first line of the book and ending with the final line. The result is a monstrous recomposing of the Frankenstein story, a visual monstrosity.
Those who donate books are collaborators in that they have dictated the content and visual style of each of the books so far. The “edition,” then, is variable and could potentially grow if more books are donated before I give up the ghost.
