I have been making artists’ books for the last twenty years. It started with healing books – I incorporated healing plants into handmade papers and added healing images and poetry. I wanted a full sensory experience. (no white gloves) Touch and smell played an important roll in these early books. My latest books still follow this format. I use coptic bindings because of its rich history. My books are complete with detailed ink drawings of food, drawings of special places, writings, encaustic prints on kozo paper, and collages of important ephemera.
Handmade papers, encaustic monotypes, ink drawings, collages.

Deborah moved to southwest Florida two years ago and now has a studio/gallery on Shirley Street, North Naples, FL. She shows locally and has won numerous awards from Best in Show to Juror’s Award. She is looking forward to her upcoming exhibition at Watson McCrae Gallery on Santibel Island this winter.
