About this piece:
The type in this star book was computer printed and then each page was monoprinted with real ginkgo leaves and rubbed with gold powder. The book is held to together with a Coptic binding with beads on the spine. It is meant to be viewed opened and tied with its gold ribbon to form a star shape.

About the artist:
lives in Scotch Plains, New Jersey
Debra Livingston is a printmaker and book artist currently living in New Jersey. She has a BFA in printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design. She teaches drawing and painting to adults in her local community center as well as after school art enrichment to elementary school children. Her work is exhibited in numerous galleries and museums including the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum in England.
