About this piece:
Through the Veil is a poetic commentary on Western religious architectural spaces. Visual content is both photographic and illustrative. Photography (by the author) consists of iconic Christian structures: Notre Dame de Paris, Sainte Chapelle, Canterbury Cathedral, Chartes Cathedral, and Westminster Abbey. Through the Veil takes the reader on a spiritual tour of architecture whose purpose is to inspire and lift the spirit – to create a connection between this world and the next, and to act as a conduit through the veil of those two realities. The production methods of the book are inclusive, and include: digital output and hand illumination, applique and stitchery. Book is bound as a single signature.
