These days, the boundaries of regions become blurred and indistinct. Sometimes we even find ourselves not knowing where we are, the old and historic are replaced by the streamlined and international. In cities everywhere in the world, so many buildings of identical style and appearance are built and rebuilt on a daily basis. As our culture globalizes, people, as well as buildings, will join in this massive assimilation. Theses changes just like the waves, as one falls,another rises,without stop.

Leilei Guo is a book artist, currently lives and works in Beijing. She once studied in Rhode Island School of Design in 2006. She graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts with a Master’s degree in 2008. In 2012, her artists’ book ‘Nest-Soho’ won the 2012 Juror’s Award of Artistic Excellence Prize from Krystyna Wasserman, in USA. Her work were collected by New York Public Library, Yale University, Rhode Island School of Design, University of California, Lafayette College, and so on.
