Artist Statement about work:
These images were originally mono-prints using my own hand-cut rubber stamps which I have appropriated and digitally manipulated for mana. In this sense I have ‘redrawn’ them as suggested by the ideation cards. The text in this artists book expresses my vision for a future where human communities connect with nature and one another in ways that imbue them with mana – courage, respect, love.
Created using the following Ideation Deck card draws: color – highly colourful; structure – innovative; image – traced, redrawn, lifted from outside sources; technique – digital; layout – based on a grid; text – self-generated; paper- handmade. Adjectives: colourful , strange or exotic , impressionistic , graphic , futuristic
