Mimi Peterson – Clay to Paper: Two Bowls Full

This construction was made as a modern paper interpretation of 12th century Mimbrenos clay vessels. The the bowls are the covers or housing for words and symbols. Using universal travel symbols both as design and message in the way that ancients would have added an image on their pottery. The presentation box is meant to elevate the bowls to artifact status.
