Four voices work together in this ’excerpt’ to play out a composition. Two voices have a back-and-forth libretto while a third voice is happily distracting themselves. Musical directions are given throughout.

Text by Barb Tetenbaum, images by Barb Tetenbaum. Visual score, depressing libretto, multiple voices.

Hand-set type, printer’s rule, bell wire, sheet magnet and antique printer’s cuts were printed letterpress. The binding is a single section in a German Case binding.

Barb Tetenbaum is an artist and musician who has been publishing limited edition artist books since 1979 under the imprint of Triangular Press. She is currently Professor and Department Head of Book Arts at Oregon College of Art and Craft.
