About this piece:
A small, tactile book made of wool with both velvet and silk stitching. This piece is meant to be handled by the viewer to feel the texture of the stitches and the contrast between the scratchy wool, the soft velvet, and the smooth silk. Part of the Palindrome series, which considers each stitch as it looks from the front and the back of the page.

About the artist:
Amanda D’Amico is a book artist working under the imprint Tiny Revolutionary Press in Philadelphia, PA. She taught in the MFA Book Arts/Printmaking Program at the University of the Arts (PA), and has taught workshops at many institutions including Pyramid Atlantic Art Center (MD), Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MN), Haystack Mountain School of Crafts (ME), and the Paper Book Intensive (MI). She served on the Boards of the College Book Art Association, the Philadelphia Center for the Book, and the Soapbox: Community Print Shop. Her work has been collected and exhibited nationally.
