Description
About this piece:
This work abstracts two aspects of reclamation: fossil excavation and artifact rubbings. Cordage was knotted, assemblaged into a relief, then ossified. Partial ossification allows the single relief to be folded as a cover. The enclosed five monotypes are oil and beeswax.
Materials:
cordage, gypsum, pigment, oil
