About this piece:

This edition was created as a fundraiser for the Morgan Paper Conservatory’s annual fundraising event. It presents the English translation of Poem XIII from one of my favorite collections of poems by Pablo Neruda. Neruda’s The Book of Questions was completed only months before his death in 1973. The collection is a series of brief poems composed entirely of unanswerable questions; a culmination of Neruda’s lifelong commitment to revealing inner structures of thought and feeling that underlie all experience.

Single-signature tacketed binding. The signature consists of end page hand printed from a wood block, HMP paper from the Morgan Paper Conservatory laser etched with the text and hand printed from wood blocks, HMP from the Morgan Paper Conservatory presented as a double spread gate fold, hand printed from wood blocks. Cloth spine, book covers are HMP paper from the Morgan Paper Conservatory hand printed from wooden blocks. The silver foil title label is recessed into the front cover.
