Charles Brownson is a novelist who in the 1990s began to be interested in digital and physical artists books. Using his knowledge of printing, typography, book structure, photography. and the processes of hand binding and papermaking he began to produce handmade books about ten years ago. Since then he has written and illustrated five novels and many smaller works. Each of his printed books is unique, and none are editioned. He lives in Tempe, Arizona.
