about this piece

About this piece:
Universal Sample is part of a larger series of artist books and prints inspired by Charles Darwin, his travels to the Galapagos Islands and by theories of evolution. The prints are taken from a series of drawings of jarred specimens which I completed at the Huntarian Museum in London. Universal Sample presents a progression from early life forms to a final molecular disintegration. Universal Sample was printed at the Dayton Printmakers Cooperative and bound at Plat 21 Studio.
