Description
About this piece:
This edition was the result of my work as a county commissioner on the problem of shooting on USFS lands. For the past five years I have been meeting monthly with the USFS, Parks & Wildlife and surrounding counties to address the problem created by dispersed shooting on public lands. The Forest Supervisor’s decision will be made in mid 2018 and I am hoping that they close the forest in Gilpin County to recreational shooting. The book is dedicated to the memory of a grandfather who was killed while picnicking by a stray bullet in Pike National Forest in 2015.
