About this piece:
The Book of BonBons came about as a result if my fascination with geometric puzzles. It is a reminder of the need for play and curiosity which are two well-tested paths to creativity. On each puzzle is written a quote from an artist about play. The membrane pages in the center of the candy box are composites of my digital photographs, drawings, and traditional prints. These pages are constructed on the pattern of a visual puzzle. The text is about the permeability of human influences.
I edited the video documentation of this book in collaboration with the students of the Beginning Video Production class at Berkeley City College.
