about this piece

About this piece:

My creative process is a way to articulate the immaterial connections, precious observations and personal revelations. I am fascinated by the material and they way it can influence the concept for the project. Blood Moon book represents time compressed into an book object. Sheets of handmade cotton paper are stitched together and bound into a block that is displayed on the plank of wood, balancing and static. Just as time passed cannot be revised, this book object cannot be flipped through, only observed.

paper, wood, gouache, thread, jute
