Artist Statement about work:

The 12 cards i drew prompted me to explore the subconscious fears, desires, epiphanies and general absurdity that comes to us through dreaming. The book contains a set of five numbered cubes that, when rolled, create the text. Five original sentences correlate with the book’s imagery and can be identified by matching the color coding of the words on the dice. There are 7776 possibilities, all relative to interpretation, much like dreams themselves.

Created using the following Ideation Deck card draws: color – highly colorful; structure – innovative; image – abstract; technique – hand-drawn or painted; layout – based on a grid; text – stream of consciousness; paper- pre-treated. Adjectives: textured , impressionistic , soft , poetic , whimsical
