About this piece:

La Ahogada interweaves the two watery legends of Ophelia and La Llorona. The altered text is drawn from “Wuzzelbud KK,” a song by German techno producer Robag Wruhme, featuring vocals samples from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. From the Old World to the New, and back again, this dark adaptation connects narratives across continents and centuries. Made with Iowa-grown kozo with cotton/flax covers.
