about this piece
Inspired by Sei Shonagon’s Book of Lists from 10th century Japan. My lists were written during the year 2012, the Year of the Dragon in Sarasota, Florida and bound in the year 2013. The lists in both cases are recordings of odd facts and ideas from the past of personal trivia that when collated becomes strangely meaningful.
