About this piece:

Pattern Book is an exploration of the patterns that define women: from the clothing we are expected to wear, to the way we are told to speak, from fitting in, to measuring up. The use of the small girl’s dress monoprinted onto each image through the accordion book speak to the patterns we fall into as women. The use of stitch as a means of constructing the book and images speaks to the tradition of sewing being woman’s work.
