About this piece:
From an ongoing series of books that glimpse inside the artist invented world she calls Tajtania. In Tajtania buildings are both individual entities and part of an architectural style and represent Tatiana’s interest in reinventing real places and combining them with her own invented spaces. Eye to Eye is a glimpse into a celebration of performative space in Tajtania. It is the first in the series to include human forms.
About the artist:
Tatiana Potts is a native of Slovakia. She received her MFA degree in printmaking at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her BFA at the University of North Carolina, Asheville. She spent a month in Poland through UT exchange program with the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw. Her work is in a number of galleries, publications, and collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, UK; National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung, Taiwan, University of Washington, Seattle, WA and the International Print Council New York.
