About this piece:

Bovine Book I is one piece in the Bovine Reliquary series exploring the place of the domesticated cow in our American farming culture. Each piece in this series contains dairy relics, objects from the past elevated to holy status. This piece pays homage to my father, who had been in the dairy business for many years.

About the artist:

Lisa Klofkorn has worked as a graphic designer and artist for over 25 years, most recently as the Art Director for the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley’s public science center. She holds a B.F.A. in design from the University of Michigan School of Art & Architecture and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
