About this piece:
Clear mylar box (housed in a blue paper box) holds two miniature books. The Modern Home (2.75 x 2.125 x .125″) is a hardbound laser-printed, double-sided accordion with eight projections, hand engineered and assembled. The Garden (2.25 x 2.125 x .375″) is hardbound, hand woven, and has a collaged batik cover and metal paperclips.

About the artists:
Collaborating for over a decade, Amee J. Pollack and Laurie Spitz explore women’s legacies through one-of-a-kind constructions and artists’ books. Pollack earned an MFA in Book Arts/Printmaking from The University of the Arts. Spitz earned a BA at UC-Berkeley. Their work is in numerous permanent collections.
